5th Annual Knowledge Exchange 2025
About the event
interRAI New Zealand and the interRAI Research Network invite you to our 5th Annual interRAI Knowledge Exchange. This 1-day conference is an opportunity for researchers, clinicians and other industry experts to learn more about the ways interRAI data is being used in New Zealand. This year’s theme is Mental Health and Wellbeing and we will be joined by special guest speaker and renowned interRAI researcher Professor John Hirdes from the University of Waterloo, Canada. This also marks the 20th anniversary of interRAI in New Zealand.

Call for Speakers
Applications for presenters have now closed.
Accepted presentation formats:
- Presentation: completed research or a quality improvement project.15 minutes presentation time, 5 minutes question time.
- Ideas Exchange: presentation of emerging research ideas or quality ideas (including work in progress items). 5 minutes presentation time, 10 minutes discussion time.
- Workshop: 30 minutes allocated time on any topic.
- Forum discussion: 20 minutes presentation and discussion time combined.
Emerging Researcher Award
interRAI Services works closely with the interRAI Research Network (iRN) to promote the value of interRAI through data and research. Each year, interRAI Services and the iRN present an Emerging Researcher Award to enable its recipient to attend and present their research at the annual interRAI Knowledge Exchange. Eligibility criteria:
- the recipient must be within 5 years of completing a Ph.D., or currently studying a post-graduate degree
- the recipient must attend the 5th Knowledge Exchange in Wellington on 10 February 2025 to present their research
- the recipient’s research utilises interRAI data
- the recipient is prepared to join the iRN
